Description
They are not pretty birds by any means of the word but they make an interesting photo. This shot was taken on the Anhinga Trail in Everglades National Park. The vultures collect and scavenge for food in much the same way as Pigeons in a park.
The Black Vulture is a fairly large bird of prey, measuring 22–29 inches in length, with a 52–66 inch wingspan. The Black Vulture is a scavenger and feeds on carrion, but will also eat eggs or kill newborn animals. In areas populated by humans, it also feeds at garbage dumps.

I think vultures are pretty cool. I watched a show on them, they actually don't smell! Great picture.

Thank you, Jennifer! It's probably a good think they have no sense of smell, lol!
