Description
Frog Baby fountain is a bronze statue by artist Edith Barretto Stevens Parsons. Many of Parsons works are representations of her children in early childhood.
The original Frog Baby was cast in 1937 and depicts a little girl who is smiling at the sky and holding a frog in each hand. The statue was donated to Ball State University by Frank C. Ball and is dedicated to Alexander Bracken, who was responsible for Balls' rapid growth after WW II.
Replicas of Frog Baby are located at Brookgreen Gardens in South Carolina, a copy is on loan to Atlanta Botanical Garden (seen here) from the High Museum in Atlanta, Georgia and Forest Lawn Museum in Glendale, California
